Thanks to Fast Eddie, Tight Line (Jackalope), Shark Bait and Black Bean for making the weekend at the Bing Retreat a wonderful experience.

Sounds of the night

Shark Bait weeping silently as the trophy is once again handed over to the Giant.

Tears dripping from Tight Line's cheeks as he hangs his head in shame.

Black Bean's belching after a hardy t-bone and potato meal.

Fast Eddie softly cursing his restricted diet.

Brent Giant polishing his trophy.

All with the sound that will haunt them into the night, playing endlessly in their heads...bing bing booooooong...bing bing bing...booong

Yes Shart Bait, it's true...the Giant triumphs again!

Tight Line tries to remember what the red straps are for.

Black Bean did a great job preparing a healthy steak dinner.

Fast Eddie has never seen a trout that big...

...and never will again if he gets fishin' tips from Tight Line (fish the shore) and Shark Bait (you must talk to the fish).

Black Bean digitized this monster moments after the Brent Giant hauled it out of the lake (not Loblaws).

Fast Eddie has a spare hat

Yes Fast Eddie came to Black Bean's rescue with the offer of a spare hat. Black Bean calmed instantly when he knew his dome need not ice over.

Dejected

At the end of the day Tight Line and Shark Bait were wandering around the shore in a zombie like state, not sure why their best efforts to catch a trout totally failed.

Mmmmmm

Black Bean brought a most delicious dessert...no it didn't have any fish in it.

Squinting the tears from his eyes, Shark Bait once again hands the trophy to the Brent Giant. Will the Giant ease up on the competition? I don't think so.

What was that eerie sound?

Just the fish full of your worms and minnows having a good laugh at you guys before going to sleep.

One cast and a short fight later we have a bass.

We need a bigger board

Just look at those brilliant colours.

Looks like Fast Eddie caught a big one...

...strange how much one trout looks like any other trout...like the Giant's trout even.

Bing bing bing boooong...they are all deep! Fast Eddie expertly positions us over our intended prey, occasionally exclaiming...Oh Man!, that's a big one!

Black Bean looks like he knows what he is doing, really he does...I mean....look at that great hat!

Off the Dock?

The following morning found the boys trying their luck off the dock...time to show them how it's done.

R&R with satellite tv!

We retreated to the stone cabin and waited for them to come to their senses.

Black Bean and I knew that the trout were going to bite tomorrow so we just watched them in amusement.

After throwing rocks at them for half an hour we decided to take Tight Line's canoe and meet them on the water...man they sure can concentrate!

When we arrived late in the afternoon, Fast Eddie, Tight Line and Shark Bait were chummin' the waters for us.

The trip up was through the beautiful Ontario autumn coutryside. Black Bean rode shot gun.
